Why is the platform named Washproof and how does it protect against greenwashing?
The name follows the exact principle of waterproof (water-resistant) and bulletproof (ballistics-resistant). As enterprise buyers are audited under the EU CSRD directive, corporate auditors must scrutinize supplier Scope 3 emissions data with the exact same rigor as financial statements. Unsubstantiated claims or rough estimates are flagged as greenwashing, causing lost supplier contracts. Washproof makes your disclosure audit-ready by anchoring every gram of carbon to your actual accounting records and locking the report as a version that cannot be changed afterwards.
What is the VS (formerly VSME)?
The VS (Voluntary Standard) is the EU's voluntary sustainability reporting standard for companies with fewer than 1,000 employees, adopted as Delegated Regulation C(2026) 5011 on 3 July 2026. It replaces the VSME, Commission Recommendation (EU) 2025/1710, and lets SMEs answer sustainability data requests from larger customers and banks in a standardized, low-burden format. Reporting is self-declared.
How does report versioning work?
Using the Reports Hub, you start by creating a draft via our step-by-step Source Wizard. Once you are happy with the results, you lock the report. This creates a version (e.g. v1) that cannot be changed afterwards, is audit-ready and can be exported to PDF and JSON.
